7th Afghan Youth Voices Festival Held in Kabul

Youths from five provinces came together on Thursday for the 7th Afghan Youth Voices Festival in Kabul.

The main purpose of the initiative is to say no to violence and to promote peace and stability,” said another participant Maryam Tawasoli.

The festival aims to promote peace and end violence in the country.

“We came together to find out what progress youths have made and what their gains are; and to focus on the cultural aspects of our programs; this also indicates unity between the youths and it is a great initiative so that they can get acquainted with it,” said one participant Karima Jamilil.

“The main purpose of the initiative is to say no to violence and to promote peace and stability,” said another participant Maryam Tawasoli.

Dozens of photographs were displayed at the festival and each of them reflects the aspirations of Afghans for peace and security.

“The pictures displayed here convey the message of peace and love, these pigeons you see here in this picture indicates the symbol of peace,” said event organizer Murtaza Faqirzada.

“The youth voice festival is a good platform for youths to come together and talk to each other in Afghanistan and it is a positive point for them to know each other more and more,” said event organizer Kawah Irek.

The festival has been organized in joint cooperation with Afghanistan Culture Center, Internews with the financial cooperation of USAID.
