With panic and rumours around COVID-19 virus taking centrestage, the need to find trustworthy and accurate public health information has become more urgent than ever. But given the polluted information environment, people across ages find it difficult to discern what’s reliable and what’s not.

To address this urgent need, Internews and Dataleads - the team behind Factshala: India Media Literacy Network - is bringing a series of 5 webinars in 5 Indian languages to help you, and yours, learn How To Beat And Navigate The Corona ‘Misinfodemic’ and find trustworthy news and facts in this critical time.

FactShala is a news and information literacy initiative, launched with the support of Google.org. Over the course of the year, we will be working with experts to build a network of trainers who will help people in Tier 2 and 3 cities and villages across India learn how to critically assess the information they see online and understand better the nature and characteristics of content published on the web.
