More than one million Rohingya refugees fleeing violence in Myanmar are staying in campsites along the Bangladeshi side of the border.
In September 2017 Internews conducted an information ecosystem assessment at the camps, which found that 77% of the Rohingya population do not have enough information to make decisions for themselves and their family and 62% reported that they were unable to communicate with aid providers.
This report was conducted to contribute to a better understanding and coordination of all information and communication activities and resources by mapping communication and information related activities in Rohingya camps in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh.
The results show an increased understanding of the importance of CwC among individual agencies, sectors and the wider humanitarian system.
