The Safe Sisters Toolkit was developed as part of a joint initiative by Internews and Defend Defenders in the Safe Sisters program, a digital safety fellowship for women human rights activists, that uses a combination of self-study, tool practice, mentorship, workshops, peer sharing, and small grants. Thirteen Safe Sister fellows from East Africa joined forces to take on today’s digital challenges for female human rights defenders in the region.
The toolkit was developed by Internews, with support from Safe Sisters 2017-18 fellows, Defend Defenders and Policy.
