Women Discuss Their Role in the Democratic Process In the DRC

Noemie Kilembe, head of Internews’s partner in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Women’s Voices for Peaceful Democratic Dialogue, and Mimi Mupengo, from CAFCO, the main coalition of women’s organizations in DRC, were invited by local station Tele 50 in the morning show on June 13, to talk about women’s participation to the democratic debate and public decision making.

Immediately following the airing, Marie- Olive Lembe di Sita, the First Lady of DRC contacted CAFCO after watching the program, inviting Kilembe and Mupengo to work on a future debate between women leaders and members of the government.
