Wednesday, December 16 at 9:00 am (EST)

USAID’s Center of Excellence on Democracy, Human Rights and Governance (DRG) and SCS Global created the CivicSpace.tech interactive toolkit to help the DRG community understand both the risks and opportunities of using digital technology in civic engagement. Focusing on how DRG issues are affected by emergent technologies, this two-part series will explore how CivicSpace.tech can help missions and local partners better navigate threats and trends.

Featured panelists for Session 2 include:

  • Jared Ford, Senior Advisor for Digital Technology, Civic Activism and Media, USAID, USA
  • Jon Camfield, Director of Global Technology Strategy, Internews, USA
  • Maria Paz Canales, Executive Director, Derechos Digitales, Chile

Moderated by: Ona Flores, Civic Freedoms Research Advisor, ICNL, USA
