Este documento destaca el objetivo, alcance y principales resultados alcanzados bajo el proyecto “Comunicar el autocuidado – Pueblos Indígenas frente al Covid-19″, implementado en la Costa Caribe Colombiana, desde abril 2020 hasta marzo 2021.  

Por medio de este proyecto, Internews apoyó y fortaleció las capacidades de comunicación de las comunidades indígenas Wayúu y Zenú de la costa caribeña colombiana a través de la producción y difusión de contenidos para prevenir y gestionar la pandemia. Las actividades tenían un enfoque pedagógico sobre los derechos a la salud, basado en la cosmovisión y las prácticas culturales de las comunidades wayúu y zenú.

This document highlights the objective, scope, and main results of the project, “Communicating self-care – Indigenous Peoples facing COVID-19”, implemented in the Colombian Caribbean Coast, from April 2020 to March 2021.  

Through this project, Internews supported and strengthened the communication capacities of the Wayúu and Zenú indigenous coastal communities through the production and dissemination of content to prevent and manage the pandemic. The activities had a pedagogical focus on health rights based on the worldview and cultural practices of the Wayúu and Zenú communities.
