This study was based on Internews’ Information Ecosystem approach and collaboratively developed and conducted by Internews, Institut Panos, and Policité between February and May 2024. The study aims to contribute to a better understanding of the supply of and demand for information on issues related to governance and elections, with special attention to the “demand side” of the information ecosystem, i.e., the citizens receiving the information. This study leverages a mixed-method research methodology to primarily study Haitians’ confidence in their media to provide them with trustworthy and useful information on governance and elections-related issues, and secondarily, to understand the practices of information providers regarding coverage of these topics.
