Join a discussion on how collaborating with CSOs can strengthen governments’ COVID-19 response efforts.
Thursday, March 18, 2021 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM EDT
Ida Jooste, Global Health Media Advisor for Internews is on the discussion panel.
USAID’s Local Health System Sustainability Project (LHSS) has gained substantial experience helping national governments develop and execute strong responses to the COVID-19 pandemic while they simultaneously strengthen their ability to adapt and respond to future health emergencies.
The third and final webinar in the “Ready for the Next Emergency: Helping Local Health Systems Emerge from COVID Stronger and More Resilient” series will cover how collaborating with civil society organizations can lend strength to governments’ COVID-19 response efforts. Panelists will share experiences and lessons learned from countries that have harnessed trusted community networks to reach key audiences – and discuss how these same approaches could be used to support vaccine uptake and long-term health system strengthening. There will be ample time for audience questions.
Featuring:
- Midori de Habich (moderator) – Technical Director, LHSS Project
- Matthew Henneberger – Health Systems Advisor, USAID Office of Health Systems
- Ida Jooste – Global Health Media Advisor, Internews
