As Senior Director of Media Business, Jason Lambert’s role is to harness the expertise and experience of Internews’ program teams and bring new, scalable business solutions to the existential challenges facing news media globally. A serial founder and innovator, he leads Internews’ Newsgain consulting team and has been instrumental in the creation of global initiatives such as Ads for News and the Media Viability Accelerator.
Prior to co-founding Newsgain in 2017 as an independent consultancy, which Internews acquired in 2020, he co-founded a marketing and advertising agency serving clients in both media and financial services. Jason co-founded Diversity Ad in 2011 with Media Frontiers (a subsidiary of International Media Support), which brought new digital advertising revenues mostly to exiled news media. Since 2008, he has consulted with news media in more than 40 countries. Prior to this, he held commercial positions in the Digital division of the UK and Ireland’s national news agency — the Press Association (now PA Media Group).
Jason holds an Executive MBA and Master in Management of Technology from the Technical University of Denmark, a BA in Economics and Psychology from Middlesex University in London, and is a graduate of UC Berkeley’s Innovation Leadership program. He is based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
