Since 2017, more than 740,000 Rohingya, a Muslim minority ethnic group in predominantly Buddhist Myanmar, have fled to Bangladesh because of extreme violence in their home communities. They joined more than 200,000 people at camps near the town of Cox’s Bazar, who fled to Bangladesh years earlier. 

Aid agencies are struggling to adequately serve the nearly 1.2 million people who need assistance, including those in communities local to the camps.

Internews, BBC Media Action and Translators Without Borders, in partnership with the International Organization for Migration, and with funding from the European Union and UKaid, are providing the refugees with accurate actionable information.
