CDAC Network 2020 Online Annual General Assembly and Annual Public Forum

When:
10/27/2020 - 10/29/2020
12:00 pm - 5:30 pm UTC

Join us to radically re-imagine digital humanitarian policy so that it is centred around community agency, knowledge and needs.

The CDAC Annual General Assembly is a unique opportunity for members of the network to set the strategic direction of the organisation, find out more about the work of the network this past year, and reflect how we are adapting our work to communicate and engage with communities in the challenging environment of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The CDAC 2020 Annual Public Forum, Accountability in the Age of the Algorithm: Championing Pathways to Inclusion in Tech-Driven Futures, will bring together a diverse set of actors, thought leaders and decision makers from across the globe to discuss digital inclusivity, issues that constrain it, best practice from across the globe, and how we can ensure new technologies work for some of the world’s most vulnerable populations.

All times are GMT/UK.

On Wednesday, October 28 @ 2:10 PM, Internews is holding a panel called “Rooted in Trust: Reaching the Most Vulnerable in a Time of Social Distance” that is a global program grounded in hyperlocal information ecosystems to ensure impact directly in vulnerable communities affected by COVID-19 and humanitarian crisis.

On Thursday, October 29 @ 4:05 PM, Rosie Parkyn, Director of Programmes at Internews Europe, will join strategy development consultant, Dan McClure, members of the CDAC Board of Trustees, and Caroline Nursey, CEO, BBC Media Action, for a CDAC strategic planning session.
