This autumn, Internews’ Chief Executive in Europe, Daniel Bruce, will step down to take on the role of CEO at Transparency International UK. The UK board of Internews will launch recruitment for a new Chief Executive this week.
“In his five and a half years as CEO in Europe, Daniel has been an extraordinary colleague, instrumental in the growth and development of our international organisation and in building the Internews programme portfolio supported by European donors,” said Jeanne Bourgault, President of Internews. “In more than 11 years with Internews, he has been a thought leader, ambassador and creative force for the organization.”
UK trustee board Chair Mark Stephens, CBE said, “Daniel is a cornucopia of talent bundled into a dynamic package. We, at Internews, have been exceedingly fortunate to count him amongst our number for the past 11 years.”
Of his work at Internews, Daniel Bruce said, “It’s been a privilege to serve the mission of Internews, its staff and partners, in a variety of different roles over the last decade; to see lives changed for the better through the transformative power of credible news and information. There are many great issues of our time at the heart of this work and I have great confidence that Internews will continue to play a vital role in addressing them.”
