Carolyn Hink is an author and producer with a deep network of media, corporate and philanthropic interests across Europe. Born and raised in London and Abitur in Germany, Carolyn studied History of Art, English and Italian Literature at the Freie Universität Berlin. Her father was a foreign correspondent for thirty years, so “journalism is in my blood.”
She founded a theatre group ‘Encounters’ and it was here that she continued her writing. In 2000, Carolyn acquired the film rights for the international bestseller The Hour of the Women by Christian Graf von Krockow, the biographical story of his sister, mother and grandmother’s survival of WWII and its aftermath in Pommerania, and with whom she worked on the project until his death.
Carolyn has a love of literature and is a published author of Miss Louise Goes to Paris, a children’s book. A series about Miss Louise was commissioned taking her to Berlin, experiencing the history and effects of the wall and the reunification through a child’s eye. Miss Louise goes on to study in Siena and returns to London to start a family.
Next to being a mentor at Wandsworth prison, volunteering in the kitchens at The Passage, she has returned to script writing and is in talks about producing a new version of the Krockow project to show how easily the life we take for granted can end through the rise of nationalism and populism.
