Daisy McAndrew is a highly seasoned TV presenter, reporter and journalist with more than 20 years’ political, economic and business news experience. A well-known face on British TV screens she spent a very successful 7 years with ITV news during which time she was their most senior female reporter, having been Chief Political Correspondent, Economics Editor and Special Correspondent.

As Economics Editor she reported on the worldwide ‘credit crunch’ and recession from all over the UK as well as in-depth reports on the German and French economies. As well as reporting for ITV News she also anchored their Lunchtime and Weekend News and ITV’s Moral of the Story.

Before joining ITV she presented (as Daisy Sampson) the BBC’s Daily Politics and was BBC Breakfast News’ Political Correspondent.

She is a regular newspaper reviewer for the BBC, Sky News and ITV’s This Morning. McAndrew has also presented Channel 4’s Powerhouse, the BBC’s Heaven and Earth Show and BBC Weekend News. Shehas appeared a number of times on Have I Got News for You?, has been a regular on The Wright Stuff and Despatch Box and many Radio 5 Live programs.

Daisy began her career as a researcher in the House of Commons, before becoming a freelance political lobby journalist writing for various national newspapers. She also served as Press Secretary to the late Liberal Democrat Leader, Charles Kennedy from 1999-2001.

In addition to serving on the Internews board, Daisy is a patron of the St John’s Hospice and is an active supporter of the homeless charity Crisis.
