Robert Bole is the Managing Director of Digital for the Signal Group, a Washington DC based public affairs and government relations firm.
In this position, he leads a growing digital communications practice to help clients tell their stories using audience insights, creative storytelling and thought leadership.
Robert has spent his career in leadership and digital and global strategy for media companies. Most recently, Robert has been General Manager for The Atlantic’s CityLab, as well as leading The Atlantic’s international growth strategy. Prior he was an advisor to The New York Times, Director of Innovation for the U.S. Agency for Global Media, a federal agency that oversees five regional media networks, and managed digital media strategy for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
Robert began his career as a housing program specialist in Portland, Oregon. He received a bachelor’s in Economics from George Washington University and a master’s in City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania.
