Rosie Parkyn is currently Internews’ Global Director of Impact, overseeing the organisation’s global monitoring, evaluation, research and learning service. She was previously Internews Europe’s Director of Programmes, managing a multi million pound portfolio of work.
She started her career in magazine publishing in the UK, arriving at Internews in 2017 via a ten year stint at the BBC where she designed and led a host of complex, multi platform interventions designed to support high quality, public service journalism and to inform, engage and entertain audiences across Africa, Asia and the MENA region. Prior to this she ran a prison radio station in South-West London. She is passionate about amplifying unheard voices, shining a light on under-reported issues, promoting high quality, inclusive content and meeting the information needs of marginalised communities. She holds a Degree in History and Politics and a Masters in Communication.
