Internews is delighted to announce Usha Chaudhary has been appointed as its new Chief Operations Officer to help lead the organization in the next phase of its development. In this role, she will be responsible for financial management, security, facilities, human resources, and information technology.

She will play a critical role integrating our global operations, ensuring the safety, security and well-being of our staff and partners, and providing financial oversight across our offices internationally.”
Usha has extensive multi-disciplinary experience in the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors. She is the former senior vice president, corporate operations and chief transformation officer at MITRE. In this role, she was charged with oversight of the company’s finance, information technology and security, corporate real estate, corporate strategy development, and business transformation functions.
Previously, she was the president and chief operating officer of Kettler, a leading national real estate developer. She has also held executive positions at The Pew Charitable Trusts, The Washington Post, United Way of America, and Freddie Mac.
Usha earned a World Executive MBA from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from St. Stephen’s College in New Delhi, India. Usha is also a graduate of the Advanced Management Development Program in Real Estate at Harvard University Graduate School of Design, and the Stanford Executive Program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business. She is currently pursuing the Doctoral in Business Administration program at Drexel University.
