EJN Launches New Fellowship and Story Grant Opportunities

EJN has just launched two new environment-related reporting opportunities. The first is a Fellowship that will allow five selected journalists from Africa and India to attend and cover the 14th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD). The second is a new round of story grants for reporters from the Asia-Pacific region that will support data-driven, investigative reporting on the health impacts of climate and environmental change. Read more>>

Recently Awarded Story Grants to Focus on Communities Most Impacted by Climate Change

EJN has recently awarded grants to 36 reporters, 14 from the Bay of Bengal region and another 22 from the broader Asia-Pacific region, to report on climate and environmental change. The aim of these grants is to improve coverage of the challenges facing vulnerable communities so they may better adapt and inform policymakers of the need for action. Read more>>

EJN Launches New Project to Protect the Mesoamerican Reef

EJN has launched the Mesoamerican Reef Reporting Project to increase and improve news coverage on the environmental health of a vital reef system that stretches across the coasts of Mexico, Belize, Guatemala and Honduras. The project will help journalists prepare to report on the findings of the Mesoamerican Reef Report Card, a tool put out annually by the Healthy Reefs initiative. Read more>>
