Internews has been active in the Western Balkans since 1997, leading efforts to support independent media and expand access to reliable, high-quality information throughout the region. With local operations based out of our office in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Internews works with independent media, content producers, and civil society in BiH, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia to enhance the quality of their content, increase audience engagement, promote financial sustainability, acclimate to new digital environments, foster cross-border and cross-sector collaboration, and bolster the ability of citizens to critically analyze the information they consume.
