Internews and local partner Fundación Unir completed this Information Needs Assessment of El Alto, Bolivia from June to September 2020. Through documentary research, surveys, and interviews, the INA addresses questions regarding the media landscape in Bolivia’s second largest city including how people in the city receive information, who creates information in El Alto, which topics have adequate coverage, and which topics lack representation. Understanding the information needs facing residents of El Alto is critical for designing transformative programs and identifying opportunities to support local actors.
